Morgan County recently issued the following announcement.
Do you have the cutest, most talented pets around? Come out for the 2nd Annual Martinsville Pet Parade on Saturday, October 2. Cost is $10 per pet. All pets must be leashed and escorted by an adult. Spectators are welcome! The parade route is one lap around the Morgan County Courthouse. Pet check in and line up will begin at 8 am on the east side of the Courthouse (Jefferson Street). The parade will begin at 9 am. Awards will be given for Largest, Smallest and Best Dressed Pets in addition to Showmanship. Awards will be presented immediately after the parade. Register online until 6 pm, Oct. 1 or in person before 8:30 am the day of the event. 100% of net proceeds benefits Morgan County pet rescues, including Little Rascals Pet Rescue, Paws Wings & Other Things and others.
