Town of Bargersville recently issued the following announcement.
Before the cold weather set in, a Community Clean Up Day was held at Windisch Park. The effort was spearheaded by the Parks Advisory Board. Volunteers came from all around to pick up fallen tree limbs, pull weeds, spread mulch, and paint park benches. A group of young men from the Youth Work Program at IMPACT Old Southside Church in Indianapolis also came to help. “It was refreshing to see the young men working hard to pitch in to make the park better”, said Parks Board President Keith Cecil.
Look for more opportunities for Clean Up Days in the future! Cecil said, “events like this are a chance for the community to come together for a little light work and conversation while improving a community resource.”
