Offensive:
Nico Hofheins (Reno, Nev.) University of Dallas | Attack | First-Year – Hofheins hit the ground running for the Crusaders, in his collegiate debut, racking up five goals and four assists leading Dallas to its first win since 2019. Hofheins picked up nine points and added a caused turnover in the 14-11 win over Huntingdon.
Defensive:
Nate Blair (San Diego, Calif.) Southwestern University | Goalkeeper | Junior - Blair had a 72 percent save percentage in his game against Birmingham Southern College with only five goals allowed and 13 total saves. He completely shut down a traditionally high scoring Birmingham Southern offense. He even added an assist on a 75 yard pass down the field to an attackman who scored a goal.
Notable Performances:
- Jordan Cook (Bryant, Ark.) Centenary College | Midfield | Sophomore - Cook led the Gents offensively on Sunday in their 15-14 home loss to Huntingdon College as he tied his career single-game record of five goals previously set at Dallas last season in an 18-8 Centenary win. Cook recorded the fourth multi-goal performance of his young career as he took a team-high 11 shots (10 on goal), had three ground balls, and one caused turnover. He now has six goals, two assists, and eight points on the season.
- Elliot Nelson (Dallas, Texas) Colorado College | Attack | Senior - Nelson recorded three goals and an assist in both this weekend against NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago. During Friday's loss to No. 14 Illinois Wesleyan University, Nelson picked up a career-high five ground balls. With his four points against Grove City College on Sunday, Nelson reached the 100-point mark.
- Charlie Harrington (Westwood, Mass.) Colorado College | Face-off Specialist | Sophomore - Harrington won 22-of-34 draws (.647) and led the Tigers with 13 ground balls against a pair of 2021 NCAA Tournament Teams. In Saturday's 14-7 loss to Illinois Wesleyan, Harrington went 14-for-22 (.636) at the dot and picked up a career-best eight ground balls. In Sunday's 22-14 loss to Grove City College, he won eight of 12 face-offs (.667) and grabbed five ground balls.
- Cade McDonald (Round Rock, Texas) Southwestern University | Attack | First-Year - In McDonald’s first collegiate game, he scored three goals and an assist in a close loss to Berry College. In his second game in two days, he had another two goals against Birmingham Southern College for a total of five goals and one assist against two tough opponents.
