Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference recently issued the following announcement.

HCLC 2022 Women’s Lacrosse Notebook, Week 3

The Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) women’s lacrosse teams competed in week three of the 2022 season.

Athlete of the Week:

Offensive

Megan Dancer (Springboro, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Attack | Senior - Dancer led the Lions to a 2-0 week, beating Muskingum 14-8 and Bethany 12-10. For the week Dancer scored 11 goals, had a pair of assists and 13 points. She did so will taking 18 shots with 15 of those on target.

Defensive

Emily Stiles (Milford, Ohio) Mount St. Joseph University | Goalkeeper | Sophomore - Stiles had a great week, securing her first two victories of the season. For the week she had 20 saves, allowing 15 goals, and picked up nine ground balls.

Notable Performances:

Gretta Mesarosh (Avon, Ind.) Anderson University | Attack | Junior - Mesarosh netted five goals as Anderson picked up an 11-7 victory against Adrian.

Megan Stinson (Fishers, Ind.) Anderson University | Midfield | Senior - Stinson caused three turnovers as Anderson picked up an 11-7 victory against Adrian.

Baleigh Riddle (Greenwood, Ind.) Franklin College | Attack | Sophomore – Riddle Recorded eight goals and an assist for Franklin as they went 1-1 for the week. She netted a team high three goals and 12 draw controls on Thursday against Wittenberg and set a career high with five goals and added an assist in a comeback 12-11 win over Elmhurst on Saturday morning.

Masi McNally-Henriksen (Zionsville, Ind.) Hanover College | Midfield | Sophomore – McNally-Henriksen led the Panthers to a 1-1 week as they defeated Asbury 8-6. The sophomore paced Hanover tying a game-high four goals on eight shots. She also added eight ground balls and forced three turnovers.

Delaney Benner (Indianapolis, Ind.) Hanover College | Goalkeeper | Senior - Benner led the Panthers in net as she picked up an 8-6 victory over Asbury charting 11 saves. In the game at Marietta, she added 11 saves through 60 minutes of work.

Mandi Rider (New Holland, Pa.) Transylvania University | Midfield | Junior - Rider notched a hat trick against DePauw on Saturday. She reached the feat on a team leading 5 shots, all 5 of which were on goal.

Abi Waldron (Louisville, Ky.) Transylvania University | Goalkeeper | Junior - Waldron made 15 saves playing all 60 minutes against DePauw University on Saturday. She also had a game leading six ground balls in the contest.
