What it is: Elvis Presley plays Steve Grayson, an overly-generous NASCAR driver who ends up owing the IRS back taxes due to the financial mismanagement of his manager. An IRS agent played by Nancy Sinatra arrives to investigate - will she fall for this racer with a heart of gold?
Why we're showing it: An Artcraft tradition is to show an Elvis film as the first movie of the year, in honor of The King's January birthday. Speedway couples Elvis's talents with that of Nancy Sinatra, bringing the two of them together through the danger and excitement of the racing track.
