4.3% of Morgan County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Morgan County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,543 people out of the 71,394 living in Morgan County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Morgan County has decreased compared to the 5.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Morgan County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.7%.

Of the 34,263 people who had a job during that time, 84 were employed in the Armed Forces and 34,179 belonged to the civilian labor force.
