HCAC 2021 Men’s Tennis Notebook, Week 13
The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) men’s tennis teams competed in week 13 of the 2021-22 season.

Athlete of the Week:
Blake Rentschler (Griffith, Ind.) Manchester University | Senior - Rentschler went a perfect 4-0 on the week for the Spartans. Rentschler went 2-0 (6-3 & 6-0) at the No. 2 doubles position while also earning a pair of singles wins at the No. 4 flight (6-4, 6-3 & 6-0, 6-0). Rentschler's efforts helped the Spartans to a 6-0 win over Grace Christian - the Spartans' first win of the season and first win since April 10, 2021.
Notable Performances:
Jedrek Brodzki (Warsaw, Poland) Hanover College | Junior - Brodzki led the Panthers to a HCAC season opening victory as they defeated Transylvania 6-3. Brodzki picked up a pair of wins for the Panthers as he captured No. 2 doubles 8-4 and claimed No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-3.
Grant Paradowski (Jeffersonville, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | First-Year - Paradowski finished 1-1 at No. 4 singles and 1-1 at No. 2 doubles as Rose-Hulman finished 1-1 overall last week. Paradowski won at 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 singles and 8-0 with Mark Slaninka at No. 2 doubles in a 6-3 win over Principia to highlight the week.
Nick McNamee (Belfry, Ky.) Transylvania University | Senior - McNamee went undefeated on the weekend, defeating Hanover on Saturday in No. 1 doubles 8-4 and in No. 1 singles in three sets (5-7, 6-4, 1-0). On Sunday, McNamee defeated Berea College in No. 1 doubles 8-0.
