Franklin College Appoints New Director Of Development
Franklin College has announced the appointment of Taylor Ogden as the new director of development.
Ogden has more than eight years of experience in the field of institutional advancement with five of those years in fundraising. Most recently, she served at The Orchard School in Indianapolis as the director of development.
In her eight-plus years of development experience she has solicited more than 45 six-figure planned and major gifts; implemented and managed comprehensive annual giving programs, giving societies, giving circles, giving days, alumni and parent giving and participation; and established hundreds of relationships across Indiana and the east coast.
“We are so fortunate to have Taylor officially on board at Franklin College,” said Dana Cummings, vice president for institutional advancement. “Her strong history of success as a fundraising and advancement professional makes her a perfect fit for the role, and her commitment to community and relationship-building will position her very well for success. I look forward to working alongside Taylor for the benefit of the college and our students well into the future.”
Ogden earned her bachelor’s degree in philosophy and philanthropic studies and her master of public affairs in nonprofit management at IUPUI. Previous work experience includes serving as the assistant director of development and the leadership annual giving officer at Butler University and the advancement and alumni coordinator at Sycamore School in Indianapolis.
“After living on the southside of Indianapolis for 30 years, it has been an incredible opportunity to now work and live within the same community, Ogden said. “The City of Franklin has always boasted a special charm thanks to local restaurants, vendors and community members, but with Franklin College being at the heart of the city, there are even more opportunities to bring alumni and donors back to this wonderful place to support students. I look forward to meeting all the generous families and community members that have made Franklin College bold, active and full of life.”
Ogden began working at the college on March 6.
