Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference recently issued the following announcement.

HCAC 2021 Men’s Golf Notebook, Week 12

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) men’s golf teams competed in week 12 of the 2021-22 season.

Athlete of the Week:

Will Schade (Fishers, Ind.) Earlham College | First-Year - Schade led the Quakers in the Fuzzy Zoeller Classic over the weekend. The first-year tied for fourth place with a total score of 150. He was tied for the lead on the individual leaderboard after shooting a 72 on the first day of competition.

Notable Performances:

Evan Kujawa (Toldeo, Ohio) Bluffton University | Junior - Kujawa led the Bluffton "B" Team to a third place finish at the 14-team Bluffton Spring Invitational over the weekend. His squad was just seven strokes off the top and it bettered the "A" Team by three strokes. He finished fourth and his 151 for the tourney is tied for the top two-day score in school history. His even par 72 on Saturday had Kujawa at the top of the leaderboard midway through the tournament.

Thomas Butler (Telford, Pa.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Junior – Butler led the Rose-Hulman performance with rounds of 78 and 76 for a 30th place finish at the nationally competitive Illinois Wesleyan Invitational. Rose-Hulman defeated consistent regionally strong programs such as DePauw, Loras, North Central, Millikin, Fontbonne, Augustana and Wheaton to place 14th out of 25 teams.
