Stenger throws her way to All-American status

First year Jessie Stenger (Brookville, Ind.) claimed All-American honors in the discus on Thursday afternoon as part of the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships hosted at Spire Institute.

Stenger entered the event ranked 13th before securing her spot on the podium with an eighth-place finish.

After fouling her first attempt the first year appeared unphased entering the cage for what would ultimately become her best attempt of the afternoon, 43.28 meters.

With the podium finish, Stenger became just the second Hanover Women's Track and Field student-athlete to earn All-American status.
