Anderson's LaBelle Named National SAAC Associate Member for HCAC
Anderson University men's soccer junior and current Anderson Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) president Noah LaBelle has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's (HCAC) National SAAC Associate Member for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 academic years.
"It is an honor and a privilege to serve the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference on the National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as I am the voice of the student-athletes in my conference to the NCAA," LaBelle said.
"I am completely grateful to be one of the few selected from half a million student-athletes to serve on this committee as we help implement change within the NCAA and advocate for student-athletes across the nation."
One of the primary purposes of Division III SAAC is to enhance student-athlete leadership in the governance of intercollegiate athletics at the national, conference/independent and institutional levels. Members of Division III SAAC serve as the voice of student-athletes from their respective conferences.
"We are excited for Noah to represent the HCAC and AU on the National Level," Anderson SAAC advisor Jennifer Myhre said.
"Noah has a passion for the student-athlete experience, a heart to serve and has been really involved with AU and the HCAC SAAC over his time.
This is an incredible opportunity and I know he will bring great ideas, perspectives and leadership to National SAAC."
LaBelle is set to begin his third year as a member of Anderson SAAC and his second year as Anderson's SAAC president.
