Athlete of the Week:
Thomas Butler (Telford, Pa.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Senior - Butler competed in 3 rounds last week, helping Rose-Hulman win the Battle at Belterra on Monday to highlight the week. Butler had a round of 70 on Monday at Belterra to place 3rd in the event overall (76 last Sunday-70 Monday=146). On Sunday at the Rhodes Invitational, Butler played 36 holes with rounds of 80 and 80 to place 83rd individually in one of the nation's top events with 19 teams.
Notable Performances:
Luke LeBourdais (Saginaw, Mich.) Anderson University | First-Year - LeBourdais shot three rounds this week, averaging +7 per round. In Day 2 of the Battle at Belterra, LeBourdais fired a 75 (+4). During the Forest Hills Fall Invitational, LeBourdais tied for 15th with a 159, carding rounds of 79 (+8) and 80 (+9).
Mychal McKelvey (Plain City, Ohio) Earlham College | Sophomore - McKelvey led the Quakers at the Forest Hills Fall Invitational with a top-three result. Anchored by a 74 in round one, McKelvey scored a 152 on the weekend to finish in third place individually.
Jacob Paine (Bloomington, Ind.) Franklin College | First-Year - Topped the Franklin leaderboard at the Forest Hills Invitational, tying for third overall with a two-day 152 (77-75).
Dawson Long (Paoli, Ind.) Hanover College | Senior - Long led the Panthers as part of the Earlham Fall Invite finishing tied for 7th with a two round total of 154 (80-74) strokes. The senior helped lead the Panthers to a fifth place finish in the nine team field.
