Athlete of the Week:
Allie Waggener (Hilliard, Ohio) Bluffton University | Sophomore - Waggener continued her hot scoring with a 79 on Sunday, good for third all-time on the Bluffton record list for 18 holes. She stands in a tie for eighth after round one at the prestigious Guy and Jeanie Kuhn Memorial hosted by Allegheny College.
Notable Performances:
- Lauren Chapman (Carmel, Ind.) Anderson University | Senior - Chapman tied for 11th with a 36-hole score of 187 (+47) in the IU East Fall Invitational. The tournament was a one-day 36-hole tournament. Chapman carded rounds of 98 (+28) and 89 (+19).
- Mallory Mortl (Westfield, Ind.) Hanover College | First-Year – Mortl led the Panthers at the Dechert Classic finishing tied for fifth. Mortl shot a two round total 161 (82-79) strokes. As a team, the Blue and Red finished third in the seven team field.
- Svarnika Bommakanti (Tampa, Fla.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Junior – Bommakanti completed the NCAA Fall Preview with a round of 85 on Monday, finishing as Rose-Hulman’s top ranked finisher after the two-day event (77-85=162). Rose-Hulman finished 15th as a team in the national preview.
