Athlete of the Week:
Jaylan Green (Lexington, Ky.) Transylvania University | Guard | Junior - On the first win of the season, Green went 6-8 from three, accumulating a total of 31 points to give him a new career high.
Notable Performances:
Brady Wheeler (Lima, Ohio) Bluffton University | Guard | First Year - Wheeler averaged 15.0 PPG with a career-high 12 on Wednesday followed by another career-high with 18 points on Sunday at Hiram. He hit 9-of-19 from the field, including 4-for-8 on triples. Wheeler was a perfect 8-of-8 from the line. Wheeler averaged 2.0 RBG and 1.5 APG.
Marell Jordan (Chicago, Ill.) Defiance College | Guard | Senior - In a loss to Alma, Marell scored five points, dished out five assists and collected four rebounds and one block. He shot 92 percent from the free throw line in the two games. In a win against Adrian, Marell recorded a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds, drained four threes and dished out four more assists. He collected one steal in each game.
Jaden Terry (Indianapolis, Ind.) Earlham College | Guard | Senior – Terry put up 20 points and four rebounds against Otterbein on Friday. The senior shot 6-for-10 on the day and went 2-for-3 from 3-point range.
Carter Crowe (Greenwood, Ind.) Franklin College | Forward | Senior – Crowe averaged 21 points per game and shot 16-for-23 from the field in two regular season contests, both Franklin wins. He averaged 4.5 rebounds per game and dropped a team-high 19 points on Tuesday night in a win at DePauw, hitting the go-ahead three with 30 seconds to play to seal a 63-62 win. Crowe set a new career high with 23 points on Thursday night in a blowout 83-61 win against Wilmington and played a team-high 34 minutes on Saturday in an exhibition contest at IUPUI.
Jack Wininger (Elnora, Ind.) Hanover College | Guard | Senior - Wininger posted an impressive three game stretch for the Panthers as they took on some tough competition in Wittenber, Wheaton, and UW-River Falls. The senior finished the week averaging 14.5 ppg and 9.0 rebounds per contest. He picked up a double-double against Wheaton followed by a 10 rebound performance against UW-River Falls.
Max Chaplin (Carmel, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Guard | Senior – Chaplin averaged 12.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game to earn a spot on the all-tournament team at the prestigious Great Lakes Invitational, as Rose-Hulman finished 1-1 and earned the first career win for new head coach Nick Sales.
