Athlete of the Week:
Grace Bezold (Covington, Ky.) Hanover College | Guard | Sophomore - Bezold helped lead the Panthers to a 2-0 overall week averaging 18 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. She charted a double-double in the win over Anderson with 18 points and 11 rebounds before adding another 18 point game against Bluffton with eight rebounds. The sophomore also finished the week shooting an impressive 52 percent from the floor.
Notable Performances:
• Lexi Dellinger (Berne, Ind.) Anderson University | Guard | Graduate Student - Dellinger filled the stat sheet last week as she averaged 20.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.3 steals and one block last week. Highlighting the week was Dellinger notching 31 points, seven rebounds, four steals and two blocks against Mount St. Joseph on Saturday. The Berne native also made 11-of-18 (61.1 percent) shots from the field against the Lions. Dellinger produced 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists against Hanover on Wednesday. She tallied nine points against Webster on Sunday.
• McKenzie Cooper (Greentown, Ind.) Defiance College | Guard | Junior - Cooper was Defiance's most consistent player during the first two conference games. After a nine-point showing off the bench on Wednesday, the Indiana native set a new career high with 11 in a loss on Saturday afternoon.
• Amari Bradford (Englewood, Ohio) Earlham College | Guard | Sophomore - Bradford led Earlham to a 1-1 week with 29 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists. The sophomore played a pivotal role in defeating Kenyon College 58-55 on Wednesday evening.
• Lauryn Bates (Anderson, Ind.) Franklin College | Guard | First Year – Bates averaged 10.5 points and seven rebounds per game across two league games last week. She recorded the first double-double of her career with 12 points and 12 rebounds in a season-high 27 minutes of action in Saturday's win over Defiance.
• Hailee Kline (Huntington, Ind.) Manchester University | Guard | First Year - Kline has helped lead the Spartans to four straight wins and a strong 2-0 start in conference play. On Wednesday, Kline led MU with 17 points, going 5-of-9 from three point range during the Spartans' 80-73 victory over Defiance. During Saturday's matchup against Earlham, Kline finished the day with 16 points and five rebounds. Hailee is currently averaging 9.7 points per game
• Madison Drummonds (Hebron, Ky.) Mount St. Joseph University | Forward | Junior - Drummonds was a force in the paint for the Lions this week. Drummonds averaged 12 points and 10.5 rebounds as the Lions finished 1-1 on the week. In Saturday's victory Drummonds earned her third double-double in five games posting 11 points and 13 rebounds.
• Kennedi Stacy (Salyersville, Ky.) Transylvania University | Point Guard | Senior - In two HCAC matchup wins over Franklin and Rose-Hulman, senior Kennedi Stacy had 38 points, nine rebounds, six assists in 41 minutes over two games. Transy is now 2-0 in HCAC play and 6-0 overall.
