Athlete of the Week:
Landen Swanner (Gas City, Ind.) Defiance College | Guard / Forward | Sophomore - Swanner dumped in a career-high 33 points in DC's win over Olivet on Wednesday night. He also set career marks in field goals and three-point makes. His 33-point game is the most by a Yellow Jacket this year and tied for the most among players in the conference.
Notable Performances:
• Alex Hunt (Noblesville, Ind.) Anderson University | Wing | Junior - Anderson topped Hanover 73-64 during the only contest of the week where Hunt led the Ravens with 19 points.
• Michael Stammen (Versailles, Ohio) Bluffton University | Guard | Junior - Stammen dropped in a game-high 20 points during Bluffton's 63-62 buzzer-beating win at Kalamazoo on Saturday afternoon. He hit 2-of-5 from distance and 8-for-10 at the stripe. Stammen led the Beavers with four assists, and he pulled down five rebounds.
• Lynn King (South Bend, Ind.) Franklin College | Forward | Sophomore – King topped the Grizzlies in scoring with 18 points in a 65-58 win over Spalding on Saturday afternoon. He went 7-for-10 from the floor with seven rebounds and four assists.
• Jack Wininger (Elnora, Ind.) Hanover College | Forward | Senior - Wininger led the Panthers last week with an impressive showing. The senior forward led Hanover past Rose-Hulman with a career and game-high 33 points. He also turned in a career best nine made three-pointers. He followed it up with a double-double at Anderson netting 12 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.
• Logan Willoughby (Greenwood, Ind.) Manchester University | Guard / Forward | Senior - Willoughby has helped lead the Spartans to a five-game winning streak after defeating Hope College 90-79 on Saturday. Willoughby finished the afternoon with 17 points and five rebounds. Willoughby currently leads Manchester with 19.5 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, 2.4 steals per game, and is second in assists per game with 3.1. Willoughby is currently shooting 82.5 percent from the free throw line, 50.9 percent from the field, and 42.9 percent from three-point range this season.
• Miles McGowen (Indianapolis, Ind.) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Forward | Sophomore – McGowen tied a career high with 22 points on 11-13 from the field and five rebounds in Rose-Hulman's 83-71 loss at Hanover on Wednesday.
