Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week:
Kosmo Wojack (Miliani, Hawaii) Franklin College | Junior – Wojack won two events and added a runner-up finish at the weekend's Centre College Colonel Classic. He grabbed the top spot in the 200 butterfly in 1:57.97 and the 400 IM in 4:23.39. Wojack placed second in the 200 IM in 2:03.67 and swam the third leg of the runner up 400 medley relay that finished in 3:37.59.
Men’s Diving Athlete of the Week:
Gauge Creech (Franklin, Ind.) Franklin College | Senior – Creech took first place on the one-meter board at the Colonel Classic over the weekend, recording a total score of 261.10 on the one-meter board.
Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week:
Samantha Phillips (Owesnboro, Ky.) Franklin College | Junior – Phillips claimed one win and a pair of runner-up finishes for Franklin at the Colonel Classic. She earned the top spot in the 200 butterfly in 2:16.30 and finished second in both the 200 free (2:04.35) and 500 free (5:26.01).
Women’s Diving Athlete of the Week:
Faith Jackson (Greenwood, Ind.) Franklin College | Senior - Jackson led the way in what was a strong showing for the Grizzly divers at the Colonel Classic, winning on the one-meter board with 229.50 points.
Notable Performances:
Men’s
• David Lange (Milaca, Minn.) Anderson University | Senior – Lange captured second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.50 during Saturday’s dual against Bethel. He also provided a fourth-place finish in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:13.27.
• Matthew Hayward (Fort Wayne, Ind.) Anderson University | Junior – Hayward captured first place in the 1-meter diving event with an 11-dive score of 419.60 points and an average of 38.15 points per dive during Saturday’s dual against Bethel.
Women’s
• Heather Karm (Lowell, Ind.) Anderson University | Junior - During Saturday's dual with Bethel, Karm recorded a 50-freestyle split of 26.90 seconds. She also took second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:06.61.
• Halle Strege (McCordsville, Ind.) Anderson University | Senior - Strege secured first place in the 11-dive 1-meter diving event with a score of 378.90 points and an average of 34.45 points per dive during Saturday's dual against Bethel.
