Athlete of the Week:
Max Greenamoyer (Zionsville, Ind.) Hanover College | Guard | Junior - Greenamoyer led the Panthers to a strong 2-0 week as they picked up an important overtime victory against Anderson. The junior averaged 26.5 ppg, including a game-high 29 points in the victory over Anderson. In the contest with Earlham, he added 24 points and seven rebounds.
Notable Performances:
•Tate Ivanyo (Valparaiso, Ind.) Anderson University | Wing | Sophomore - Ivanyo averaged 20 points, seven rebounds and 3.5 assists as Anderson went 1-1 on the week. Ivanyo contributed 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists. He then followed up with 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists while knocking down 5-of-9 3-pointers in Anderson's 77-58 win against Franklin.
•Marcus Bruns (Coldwater, Ohio) Bluffton University | Forward | Senior - Bruns netted 11.5 PPG thanks to a season-best 18 points on Saturday. He hit 7-of-9 from the field for the week, including 3-of-5 from distance. Bruns pulled down 3.5 RPG and doled out 2.0 APG.
•Jaden Terry (Indianapolis, Ind.) Earlham College | Guard | Senior - Terry led the Quakers this week averaging 23 points and nine rebounds per game, including a 36-point double-double against Hanover. The senior also had five assists and five steals on the week.
•Ty Lynas (Crawfordsville, Ind.) Manchester University | Guard | Sophomore - Lynas averaged 17.5 points per game as the Spartans went 2-0 this week. During Wednesday's matchup against Defiance, Lynas led the Black and Gold with 27 points, shooting 9-11 from the free throw line in 36 minutes of play. During Saturday's game against Mount St. Joseph, Lynas helped lead a great defensive effort to give the Spartans their seventh straight win. For the week, Lynas totaled 35 points, nine rebounds, and two steals in both games.
•Willie Bowman (Germantown, Ohio) Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology | Guard | Senior – Bowman averaged 17.5 points per game as Rose-Hulman defeated Earlham and Bluffton last week. Against Bluffton, Bowman scored a career-high 26 points to eclipse his previous career high in scoring by 10 points. He shot 79 percent from the field, 67 percent from 3-point range and was a perfect 7-for-7 on the free throw line in the two games.
•Simon Smith (Louisville, Ky.) Transylvania University | Forward | Junior - In the first game of the week Smith played a literal perfect game going 6-for-6 from the field, connecting on 4-of-4 three-point shots for 100 percent, totaling 16 points while also filling every stat category that game. Smith would end the week with 31 points.
