RECAP | Grizzlies Fall to Bees on Sunday Morning
The Franklin women's lacrosse team wrapped up a four-game homestand on a cold Sunday (Mar. 12) morning, taking on the St. Ambrose Fighting Bees at Faught Stadium.
The Grizzlies (2-2) got the game's first two goals but the rest of the game was all Bees (3-0), as St. Ambrose went on to win 18-6.
How it Happened
Franklin opened the scoring with two goals 20 second apart, as Baleigh Riddle and Jillian Schlieper made it a 2-0 game with 4:10 gone in the first quarter. But the Grizzlies would be held off the board until early in the second half as the Bees took control of the contest for good.
Inside the Box Score
-Victoria Simmons netted a hat trick to lead the Franklin attack and Baleigh Riddle potted two goals with an assist. Both attacked tied for the team lead with six shot attempts.
-Riley Rice made 16 saves in goal for the Griz.
-Devyn Kerr paced the defense with three turnovers caused and three ground balls collected.
